Jivati :- The inter-state accused of smuggling tiger skins have been arrested by the Jivati Forest Department. Based on the information received from the forest department here, this action has been taken at Pataguda in the taluka. According to the secret information received by the forest department at Jivati, there was information that some inter-state tiger skin smugglers were coming to Pataguda. Accordingly this action was taken.
Assistant Conservator of Forests Shrikant Pawar and Forest Range Officer Sandeep Langde laid a trap at Pataguda village in the taluka and arrested the inter-state gang selling tiger skins. A total of six accused were detained in this operation and when they were interrogated, the accused hunted the said tiger in the area near Asifabad in Telangana state and brought the tiger skin to Pataguda village on the Telangana border for smuggling.
On April 2, officers and employees of Jivati forest area arrested this inter-state gang while they were on the way for the last three-four months in the case of smuggling. Chief Conservator of Forest Dr. Jitendra Ramgaonkar, Deputy Conservator of Forest Madhya Chanda Shweta Boddu will further investigate the said crime.Assistant Conservator of Forest Shrikant Pawar and Forest Range Officer Sandeep Langde are working under his guidance.
